Get ready for a fine time at fascapple glass
Here’s important information that helps ensure everyone has a great time at fascapple glass. Let us know if you have any questions.
Just In Case
Please provide your phone number so we can reach you in short order if need be.
Getting Started
Workshop: Arrive 10 minutes early so we can get you checked in.
Location: 7865-56 Street SE, Unit 104 - east of Big Rock Brewery.
Parking: Free, in front of the studio.
Waiver: To participate in the workshop, please complete this waiver and return it by email or bring it along with you.
Note: If you’re feeling unwell or have symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, or cough—please get in touch before coming to the studio. We’ll work with you to decide what’s best for all involved. If you have a cold sore in, or around your mouth, we’ll be happy to help you reschedule. If you arrive with such symptoms, for everyone’s health and safety, we reserve the right to not proceed and will help you rebook.
Tips:
-
It's hot and dry in the studio, so drink lots of water before arriving. Bring water to drink throughout the workshop. We can replenish.
-
For safety and comfort, wear natural fabrics, such as a cotton t-shirt and long pants. Clothes made solely of flammable fabrics such as polyester or rayon (aka leggings) are NOT allowed. Remember it's HOT so best to wear layers on top.
-
Shoes must have closed toes and backs.
-
Tie-back long hair and remove accessories such as rings, necklaces, and scarves.
-
We supply safety glasses for people who don’t wear glasses. If you use contacts or eyeglasses, we recommend wearing the latter. The studio’s dry climate sometimes makes contacts less comfortable.
-
Lockers are available to store personal belongings etc.
-
Heat affects everyone differently. If at any time, you find it too hot, let us know. We'll modify how your piece is created.
-
We recommend bringing a snack.
-
There are tables and chairs available to use when you're not working with the glass.
What to Expect:
Walking in, you'll see our gallery filled with pieces created by Hayden MacRae and our team. To begin the workshop, your instructor will walk through safety steps, introduce the equipment, and make a piece so you can see how it's done. Then it's time to get started.
Once a piece is made, it will need to anneal (cool down) and have some finishing work done. We'll take care of that. Your treasures will be ready for pick up the following week and we’ll email day/time options.
Thank you from all of us!
