In 2024, Falkbuilt Ltd. asked us to develop an award honouring representatives across Canada and the United States. The opportunity: create an award aligned with their brand, which could live as an art piece in a home or business setting, applying a specific budget and timeline. Working with our client, we married design elements from past periods with features reflecting their contemporary brand. We also created an accompanying card highlighting the award’s creation and its care and packed all pieces for shipping.

The Willow Park Charity Golf Classic has become one of Calgary’s most prestigious golf tournaments, supporting non-profit organizations that make a difference to the lives of Calgarians. In 2024, the Classic committee asked us to create a blown glass award for each tournament champion. After visiting and listening to tournament stories, Hayden MacRae and our studio team created the “A Fine Day” series. The concept: in life, A Fine Day happens when you combine a beautiful course, the pursuit of a worthy cause and the fun, camaraderie and satisfaction of playing great golf. In glassblowing, its a highly tuned dance involving molten material, colour, skill, motion and experience. The result: a series that is both award and art, honouring the integrity of the tournament and it’s champions.

We also designed an accompanying printed card highlighting the award and the artist. In 2025, we were honoured to create the second edition of this award.
