Accident and theft

In case of an accident

For any emergencies involving bodily injury, fire, vehicle theft, or any other crime, please call 911 for assistance. In the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for contacting the Centre Automobile du Québec within 24 hours. The use of Roadside Coverage incurs a deductible of $1000 to the renter. Roadside Coverage provides liability coverage of 5 million Canadian dollars for the renter and/or additional driver on the rental agreement. All communications regarding Roadside Coverage must be made via email at caq440@gmail.com or by phone at 514-891-2999. Damage to the car will be billed after its return and will be accompanied by a $30 administrative fee in addition to the amount deducted from the deductible.

Roadside assistance

At all times, roadside assistance is provided free of charge. Indeed, each of our vehicles is equipped with roadside assistance service provided by the manufacturer.

Key

If the key(s) or electronic key fob(s) are not returned with the vehicle, additional fees will be charged.

Vehicle return

We reserve the right to repossess the vehicle at any time, at our discretion, for various reasons, including but not limited to: if the car is parked in violation of regulations, used unlawfully, or in breach of the rental agreement, or if it appears abandoned. You understand that we are not obligated to provide prior notice and that we may take all reasonable steps to repossess the vehicle. These measures may include remotely locking the doors, locating the vehicle via GPS tracking devices, or any other device connected to the vehicle that may affect its operation. In the event that we repossess the vehicle, you agree to pay the actual and reasonable costs incurred for doing so. These fees will be charged to the credit card, debit card, or account you used to rent the vehicle.
